Quartz LC 0124 is a digital wristwatch released by Seiko in 1975.
"LC" is an acronym for "Liquid Crystal."
Although it is one of the earliest digital models, I think it has achieved a complete design as a crown digital wristwatch.
The second display is of the type where the gauge above the time display flashes and advances one frame every 10 seconds, the day of the week display is a frame, and the date display is a small window at the top.
The date display is not a separate LCD panel, and the display is easy to understand thanks to a clever design.
I introduced this watch before. SEIKO 0531 Similarly, it is a type that does not have any buttons and is operated with a "crown" like an analog clock.
Pull the crown to enter time setting mode, turn it towards you to select the item you want to set, and turn it towards you to set the number.
Instructions for operation are clearly displayed on the dial.
When you press the crown, the light (small bulb) will turn on.

This watch too SEIKO 0531 Similarly, it may appear that there is no AM/PM display at first glance, but in fact, the ":" between the "hour" and "minute" is a white circle in the morning, and the ":" is a black circle in the afternoon, so you can tell them apart.
The top photo shows 11:58 a.m., and the bottom photo shows 12:01 p.m.

The LCD of this model is weak, and there are many cases where the liquid crystal is leaking at the edges of the screen, and I rarely see items with intact liquid crystals even at online auctions.
LCD leakage cannot be repaired by manufacturers, and it only spreads over time.
Also, since it is a model that is over 45 years old and there are no replacement parts in stock, it is best not to touch the SEIKO 0124, which has a slight liquid crystal leakage, no matter how good the body condition is.
