| FEATURES | An advanced model equipped with a stopwatch function (1/10 second measurement) | |||||
Seiko Quartz A129 released by Seiko in 1977, the same year as the SEIKO QUARTZ A031 we introduced earlier.
SEIKO A031 was equipped with an "alarm function", but the A129 does not have an alarm function, but instead has a "stopwatch function".
Stopwatch functions are now commonplace on digital wristwatches, but at the time it was a revolutionary feature.
Stopwatches at that time were analog and generally measured in 1/10 second units, so the stopwatch function of this model is also in 1/10 second units (instead of 1/100 second units).

The belt was included when I received it and is genuine Seiko, but it doesn't seem to be for this model.
However, the design has a good overall balance, so I continue to use it as is.
I think it's a simple and neat design, what do you think?
By the way, in addition to the blue model introduced here, there are three different dial colors of the A129: white and black, but all have the same model number as the A129-5000.
The stopwatch function screen is displayed in 1/10 second increments, so it is displayed as "0:00 -0", which looks fresh to eyes accustomed to stopwatches in 1/100 second increments.
