This is the Vega Quartz Jetta released by Citizen in 1983.
The model number (model number - model number) is DA20-396359.
I previously introduced Vega. Q&Q It is also one of the Citizen brands.
At the bottom of the LCD screen, it says "VEGA ALARM CHRONOGRAPH," but the "Digital Watch Quick Guide '84" says "Vega Quartz Jetta," so this seems to be the official model name.
However, even if you search for "VEGA JETTA", "VEGA JETTA", "CITIZEN JETTA", etc., no information about this model will come up.Also, even if you search for this model's module name (DA20), almost no information will come up.
It is truly a fantastic rare model.

The design has four large and small buttons lined up vertically on the right side, which is a unique design that you won't forget once you see it.
Opinions are divided as to whether it's cool or not, and I don't think it will be to everyone's taste, but personally I think it's a design that is quirky but not bad at all, so I think it would have been better if it had sold a little more and become a major brand.This is the model.

The buttons are lined up on the right side of the LCD screen, so if you wear it on your left arm and operate it with your right hand, it might seem easier to operate than the normal button arrangement, but in reality it doesn't make much of a difference.
Conversely, if a left-handed person wears it on their right arm, the LCD screen will be hidden when operating the buttons, so operability will be the worst.

The Jetta's button layout tends to draw attention, but the design of the LCD screen is also quite elaborate.
In particular, the day of the week display is made intuitively easy to understand by always displaying the first letter of each day (SMTWTFS) and "hiding" the second and subsequent letters on the LCD screen.
In addition, the mode display at the bottom is also displayed by "hiding" the unused portions with the liquid crystal.
The reason why the mode display is divided into two lines is to display (hide) the leftmost "AL (alarm) ON" and "CHI (chime) ON" independently.
(If you look at it from the angle of the first photo, you can see the liquid crystal slightly, so you can clearly see how the display works.)

Functionally, the button layout is simply different from the general model, but it still has the standard functions of digital watches of this era, such as an alarm function, a stopwatch function, and a light (beam bulb).
By the way, the button layout corresponds to "ADJUST", "MODE", "LIGHT", and "SELECT" from top to bottom.
When using the stopwatch, press the top button to "START/STOP" and the bottom button to "RESET".

Also, the model published in "Digital Watch Operation Quick Guide '84" looks the same as this model at first glance, but if you look closely,
