"ANA-DIGI TEMP CLOCK" released by Citizen.
This is the first (and probably the last) introduction to the table clock on this site.

CITIZEN ANA-DIGI TEMP (watch) is a popular model that was launched in 1982, and since then various collaboration models and reproduction models have been released, and just recently, a "Star Wars" collaboration model has been released.
The model that resembles the C3-PO with the analog double dial unique to ANA-DIGI Temp is quite nice, but aside from that, these collaboration models and reprint models actually use the same modules (No. 8988 and 8989) as those released in 1982.
It might be more accurate to say "continuous sales model" rather than "reprint model."

Honestly, it's almost indistinguishable between the 1980s "things from that time" and the current models, so it was a little difficult to feature them on this site (olddigitalwatch.jp), which mainly introduces vintage digital watches, so I decided to introduce this model, which is an olddigitalclock rather than an olddigitalwatch.

This model is printed with the "CQ logo" that was used on Citizen's quartz watches until the 1980s, so it is certain that it is a product from the 1980s, but I was unable to find any other basic information, and recently, on an overseas auction site, I finally found the model name "THERMO SENSOR CLOCK" and the model number "LAD-036."

The upper left slit is the alarm speaker part, and the lower left slit is the thermosensor part.
I think it's a pretty cool model in terms of design.

The ANA-DIGI Temp (watch) has been quite popular both in Japan and overseas since its release, and there are quite a few "things from that time" still in existence, but this ANA-DIGI Temp (clock) is rarely seen on online auctions or sites like eBay, so it seems that the number originally produced was quite small.
The size is approximately 8.5 cm in height and 7 cm in width, which is the perfect size to carry around, and it seems that it was mainly used as a travel clock rather than a table clock.
It runs on AAA batteries, not button batteries.

The analog part of this model has a standard dial system for small table clocks, but the digital part is almost exactly the same as an analog-digital balance (watch).
In terms of functions, the functions are listed from the left as "TIME," "DATE," "ALM," "DU.T (Dual Time)," and "ST.W" from the left in the wristwatch version, and in this model they are arranged in the exact same order from the bottom.
The button assignments and operation methods are the same for both the wristwatch and table clock versions.

The "TEMP" (temperature) measurement function, which is the key to the wristwatch version and is also the model name, had a rather fundamental and fatal problem in the wristwatch version: "When worn, it is affected by body temperature and cannot measure temperature very accurately." However, the table clock version does not have such a problem and measures the temperature fairly accurately.
It makes me think that "ANA-DIGI Temp" is actually better suited as a table clock than a wristwatch.

However, on the contrary, the table clock version also has the same "1/1000 measurement stopwatch" function as the wristwatch version.
How many people actually want a table clock to measure 1/1000??

Although there are many mysterious aspects to this table clock, I think it would sell well if this model was reprinted and sold as a set with a reprinted ANA-DIGI Temp watch.
